Message from the Club's Junior Representative...

Hi, my name is Jacques and I am one of the Junior members of the club. Before I joined the Canterbury Fly Fishing Club, I considered Fly-Fishing to be quite difficult. I couldn't catch a fish to save my life. After joining the Club however, I went to some of the courses they offered on Fly-fishing and learned about tippet sizes, sizes of flies and when to use which fly. I also learned how to tie flies myself. I am now very able at fly-fishing and catch fish 90% of the time. This is all thanks to CFFC. My advice to you is definitely join the Canterbury Fly Fishing Club. There are great people to meet and you make friends for a lifetime. It sometimes seems scary going into a place full of adults, but you soon realise that these adults are not normal. They love what they do and are very keen to share their ideas, thoughts and values about the sport. You also get too meet famous Fly Fisherman like John Morton, Tony Orman, Chappie Chapman and Rob Clark, and don't forget all the "not so famous" members who catch bigger fish than most fishing guides. If you are looking to join a Club which values you and your sport, this is definitely the club for you.
